An Event in Right-of-Way Permit (Event ROW) is required when an event requires the occupation and disruption of traffic within a road authority’s right-of-way’s, including roads, sidewalks, trails and paths.

A Event in Right-of-Way permit is required for anyone wanting to hold a parade/procession, filming, festival, bike or walk-a-thon, or any similar event that requires a lane or road closure or may interfere with the normal flow of traffic on an Uxbridge road.

Film Location Permit

The Event in Right-Of-Way is to be completed as a Film Location Permit Application.

The Township of Uxbridge supports the film industry and issues film permits for approved filming projects in our community. You must apply for a permit before you can start filming. This allows us to protect Township property, while ensuring the rights, safety and privacy of our citizens. Please submit the permit no later than seven (7) business days before filming. When filming on property that is not Township property, please submit an application for Event in Right-of-Way and ensure the proper permissions are in place as well as all applicable insurances.

Fees

Film permit fees vary based on the length of the permit. Review our filming permit fees:

• $150 application fee
• $500 Township Right-of-Way fee (Daily plus applicable facility rental cost as per applicable by-law)

Depending on the location, you may need to pay additional facility rental fees.
